We are looking for an inspiring, committed, and innovative Registered Manager with strong leadership skills to join our team. The Registered Manager must have integrity, flexibility, honesty, good communication skills, and be a reflective, open team player.

Job Summary

To assist the Responsible Individual / Director of Services and Operations Manager in the operation and management of the business and the leadership of the staff team to ensure effective multi-disciplinary service delivery to families during their stay at Orchard House Family Assessment Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for liaising with Ofsted, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation

  • Ensure that the service provides families with a high-quality professional service in a calm environment, focused on safety

  • Provide leadership, supervision, containment, and training and development for the Team Leaders and Family Support Workers

  • Form part of the wider Management Team, being influential in setting and achieving high standards, and ensuring effective communication with colleagues across the organisation

Essential Criteria

The Registered Manager must have significant relevant experience of working with children and families at a senior level and must be committed to facilitating a professional service and have the ability to motivate and lead staff. They must exercise effective leadership of the centre’s staff and operation, so that the centre is organised, managed, and staffed in a manner that delivers the best possible outcomes for parents and children.  

The Registered Manager at Orchard House must:

a)    Be an experienced HCPC-registered Social Worker

OR

b)    Have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services

&

  1. Have significant recent experience relevant to residential care, AND

  2. Have significant experience supervising and managing professional staff

There are fast trains to London and Cornwall, Dartmoor, Exmoor and the Dorset coast are an easy drive for a weekend away. The schools are excellent and the houses affordable.
