Salary: £28,000 - £36,000 (dependent on experience)

The post holder will ensure that all facilities meet statutory requirements and high company standards, manage contractors, and support strategic planning for estates and facilities.

We are looking to appoint a full-time Estates Manager to oversee the upkeep, maintenance, security, safety and compliance of all six properties. The postholder will ensure that all facilities meet statutory requirements and high company standards, as well as supporting strategic planning for the estates and facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the upkeep, maintenance, security, and compliance of six Orchard House properties.

  • Ensure all facilities meet statutory requirements and uphold the highest company standards.

  • Lead on Health & Safety, Fire Safety, and Security across all sites, working closely with the Systems and Compliance Manager.

  • Conduct regular testing and maintenance of fire systems, emergency lighting, and alarms.

  • Organise and manage contractors for repairs, maintenance, and specialist projects.

  • Carry out a range of hands-on tasks, including repairs, decoration, landscaping, and furniture assembly or relocation.

  • Maintain accurate inventories and manage stock across all properties.

  • Complete incident and accident reports, support risk management planning, and participate in ongoing health and safety training.

  • Ensure all statutory compliance checks are up to date (electrical safety, asbestos, legionella, PAT testing).

  • Represent Orchard House and Somerset Clinic with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in estates, facilities, or property management.

  • Strong knowledge of health & safety, fire safety, and statutory compliance.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage contractors and work independently on a variety of tasks.

  • Full UK driving licence.

  • Basic IT proficiency.
